B I O

Danielle de Ruiter is early in her coaching career, having just finished playing three seasons of NCAA Division 1 Softball at the University of North Alabama in Florence, AL (2019-21); two seasons at NJCAA Division 1 Pensacola State in Pensacola, FL (2016-18), assistant coach at Thomas University in Thomasville, GA (NAIA), an Assistant Coach at East Georgia State College (NJCAA) in Swainsboro, GA; and coaching the Tex Town Tigers Ladies 1 Softball in Enschede, Netherlands πŸ‡³πŸ‡±.



De Ruiter has accomplished a combination of playing and coaching softball for the past 13 years before joining the Bobcats. Off the field, she coached the Canada Futures Developmental Program, a Canadian travel ball recruiting team, and assisted in Team Canada tryouts for player development.


During her playing career, Danielle earned many honors, including several ASUN Conference honor roll mentions, UNA Scholar-Athlete of the Month, Panhandle Conference Second-Team All-Conference, and Softball BC Minor Athlete of the Year. De Ruiter was also a Canadian U19 Woman's National Team member and won gold with Team BC at the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, MB.


A native of South Surrey, British Columbia, Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ , de Ruiter received a Bachelor of Science  in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Minor in Coaching and Officiating, and a Master's in Professional Studies with a concentration in Community Development from the University of North Alabama in Florence, AL πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ.
